Where materials meet.

A closer look at the junctions that give a room its quiet coherence.

Where materials meet.

A room is often remembered as a whole. Its light, its proportions, the way it feels to move through it. Yet that impression is assembled from small decisions.

At the meeting of timber and stone, a line can be resolved or left to chance. A handle can sit comfortably within the rhythm of a cabinet, or interrupt it. A reveal can make two materials feel distinct while allowing them to belong together.

These are not decorative decisions applied at the end. They depend on drawings, coordination and the people making the work. Thinking about them early creates room for care.

You live with these decisions every day. We want to make their thinking visible, so you can look closer at what goes into an ARCHEND home.
